What is Charging Management System?
Charging Management System is an end-to-end software solution to solve various operational problems that arise during EV Charging, EV Charging Payment, EV Charging App Management, EV Charging Station Management, and other electric vehicle charging related activities. EV CMS is primarily used by Charge Point Operators or CPOs who can monitor, optimize, analyse, and control their EV Chargers from remote location via an online dashboard with admin rights and user control. CMS is a highly advanced software designed to support and maintain EV Charging Infrastructure so that EV users, CPOs, and others can experience smooth EV charging without any hiccups.

Can EV Chargers, EV Charging Stations, and Fleets be managed without CMS?
EV Chargers, EV Charging Stations, and Fleets can be managed without CMS indeed but that would be like maintaining an offline database of a library instead of relying on databases and technological solutions to manage the same. A typical Charging Station is home to at least 3 or more than 3 chargers that connect with electric vehicles of different models and types and consume different amount of energy. Understanding the energy consumption and operational cost of each charger and charging station enables a charge point operator to maximize their business by optimizing their chargers for best user case scenario. Furthermore, CMS also gives them a detailed report on user behaviour related to EV Charger and allows them to control their Chargers and Charging Station from remote location.

Does CMS manage EV Charging Map, EV Charging App, EV Charging Costs?
CMS provides an overview of charging related operations. Thus, a CMS shows EV Charging map that lists all charging stations near you. Furthermore, it can be integrated with EV Charging app to list all the EV chargers. CMS also allows management of payment operations giving detailed insight on charging cost, energy consumed, and revenue for every charging session.

Who are Charge Point Operators?
Charge Point Operators are individuals who provide, manage, and control charging points to owners of electric vehicles for the purpose of charging. They can be fleet owners, plot owners, parking lot owners, or simply charging point owners. Since they manage and operate EV Charging points, they are called Charge Point Operators.

What happens to Charging Points and Charging Stations without CMS?
A Charging Point and Charging Station without CMS is always in danger of overloading. The same result in unwarranted accidents like large scale fire and damage to electric chargers. Furthermore, a charging point without CMS cannot be optimized which results in excessive energy expenditure and low profit. Other security hazard like unaccounted charging, hardware damage due to non-maintenance of security protocol, and damage to electric vehicle is also possible without CMS.
